A little something I created on a cold Melbourne day and felt it was worth writing down to make again.

Pear with Golden Oat Crunch
Serves 1
Note that the quantities listed are approximate. Adjust to your taste and appetite.
Ingredients
1/4 cup natural almonds
1/2 cup rolled oats
1tb maple syrup
1tsp golden syrup
1/2 tsp coconut oil
1tb desiccated coconut
2 tb red wine
Coconut yoghurt or similar to serve
Method.
Roughly chop almonds
Roughly slice pear
On a low heat, in a small saucepan, gently toast almonds for 5 minutes.
Add oats - toast for 5 mins
Add coconut oil and desicated coconut. Stir through
Add syrups, and keep stirring until glazed golden brown.
Remove from pan and set aside.
Add red wine to deglaze pan. Cook off alcohol
Add pear. Stir to coat.
Simmer with lid on until soft.
Serve with oats. Top with yoghurt or cream.
